Progress Media's new policy for the use of Electronic Mail is being developed by the Joint Communications Committe and will be available shortly.

The existing guidelines are as follows:
- All incoming e-mail messages must be stored in the company filing structure (on the network drive) and deleted from the mailbox at the earliest opportunity.
- All outgoing e-mail messages must be saved in the mailbox and printed, showing header details for the sender, recipient, date and subject. The message must then be filed in the appropriate cabinet for future reference.
- All outgoing messages must close with your name, job title and department, followed by the standard company signature.
